Nov 7 – The Big Carrot – 7:00 pm. Eating Our Way to a Flourishing Future

Eating Our Way to a Flourishing Future

Your food choices are transforming the planet. What choices lead to a flourishing future? What choices are diminishing the future? Sixth-generation Ontario farmer Harry Stoddart will connect the dots between what we choose to eat and the solutions to major challenges facing society. Agriculture could be the most effective tool in our fight against climate change. Agriculture could be the most effective tool in preserving biodiversity and ecosystems. Agriculture could be the most effective tool in the fight against hunger. Harry, his wife Silvia, and their children raise 100% grass-fed beef and lamb on certified organic pastures north east of Toronto. Harry is also a faculty member in the Sustainable Agriculture Program at Fleming College in Lindsay.

Nov 7, 2013: 7:00pm – 9:00 pm
I will be speaking at The Big Carrot as part of their Thursday evening lecture series. Come prepared to be challenged to heal the planet with your food choices. I will make a presentation followed by a generous Q&A session.

The address is 348 Danforth Avenue at Jackman  Avenue.  The room is in the second floor of the Carrot Common (not the Big Carrot) and it’s room 212.  The entrance is on the Danforth next to the Danforth entrance of Book City.  It is stair access only, unfortunately.
